CREATIVE UNIVERSES OF ESAD-INSTITUT DEL TEATRE DE BARCELONA STUDENTS
We all have a personality defined by infinite layers of reality that change with time.
Students are students but also macaroni eaters, scouts, sons of parents, activists of a cause, lovers, friends of friends, residents of a neighbourhood and fifty thousand more circumstances that define them as people.
Each and every one of us receives infinite influences from the world, which we interiorise from different sensitivities, and little by little we define ourselves as artists.
We asked scenography students for an individual creation to show this duality between the individual of society and the artist that they are. The results showed the falseness of this duality; we are all a highly complex and variable WHOLE.
We gave each of the students a support and asked them firstly to make a self-portrait to present Who they are, and also gave them space to make an absolutely free artistic intervention.
We present the CREATIVE UNIVERSES of the students drawn from this experience.
