NEW WAYS

The different voices of the territory define its wealth. The impulses pupils give to a school are the force behind it.

The ESAD of the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona gave a voice and a playing space to each of its students, and also showed specific projects we found particularly significant.

The PLATaFORMA by Adrià Pinar explored the terrain of the expressive use of technology applied to stage arts. The resulting work was a skilful stage machine of undoubtable artistic value providing infinite possibilities for exploration.

Two groups of students worked on their collective projects to present them at the Prague Quadrennial; FOLDS OF SILK and BIG BANG POP.

FOLDS OF SILK explored the possibility of this material, silk, while questioning the identity of the individual in the tribal group. It is neither the strongest nor the most intelligent who survives in a species, it is he who best adapts.

BIG BANG POP invited us on an imaginary journey through illusionary worlds. We presented a collection of street objects. From outside we saw each volume as a simple object within which we discovered surprising universes.
